An emerald colored lake that has fresh water and is in Himalayan region; natural, beautiful and originating from natural springs are the things that define Dodital. Dodital Lake is situated at an height of 3310 meters above sea level and has an circumference of 1.5 km. The lake is surrounded by Deodar forest on all sides making it one of the most beautiful natural lake at such heights. The villagers here are friendly and simple. At lower altitudes the villagers grow wheat and other crops and at high altitudes villagers are mostly shepherds and live in wooden houses.

From Dodital Lake one can go trek to Darwa Pass. The pass gives a splendid view of Bandarpunch peak and beautiful snowy ridges of Dhaula Dhar. A magnificent view of forest ridges and meadows leading to Hanuman Chatti, famous pilgrim town, can also be seen. The Dodital forest has beautiful trees of oak, pine and rhodendron.
